Record Night At Christie's For Calders Amid Post-War Art Mania
For works by American abstract sculptor Alexander Calder, it was a record night last night at Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, with two of his works selling in the top 10 and setting world records for the artist. It was bittersweet for the Noyes family who parted with two Calder mobiles from their family home in New Canaan, Conn.
